I have been teaching for 10 years now and frequently tell others "I have the best job in the world!"  My musical journey began with piano lessons at age 9, followed by flute throughout high school and private voice lessons as a teenager.  I ultimately pursued vocal performance at UW-Milwaukee in my early 20s.  Before attending UW-Milwaukee, I taught piano lessons part-time at a music school in the Madison area.  After graduating, I returned to teaching piano and voice before deciding to start my own business, which came to fruition in 2022.

What began as a fun, part-time private home studio has grown over the years into a dream and desire to expand Keys and Chords into a commercial space.  This expansion will allow myself and other like-minded teachers to continue sharing our passion for music with others. 

In addition to teaching, I do a significant amount of contracted work accompanying and vocal coaching for local schools' District and State Solo & Ensemble events, as well as other recitals and concerts, and sing for special events such as weddings and funerals.  I am also a full-time mom to three beautiful children (and two fur babies) for whom my husband and I feel eternally blessed.  So really, I have the two best jobs in the world!
